I began by making a paper template to lay out the position of the drawer pulls. After finding the center of the template, I measured between both holes of the drawer pull. I cut that measurement in half. I marked that measurement from the center of the template to both sides of the horizontal line.
***Lesson learned #4- We only measured once when putting the top and the shelf in and this caused the use to not pay attention to the shifting wood while we tightened the screws.
In between rails I'll use scrap pieces of wood as spacers to ensure correct spacing. After securing the second rail, I'll remove the spacers and check for squareness. I repeated this process until one side of the frame was complete. I added the last stile and continued to install the rest of the rails.
It could be routed out easily with an appropriately sized forstner bit on your drill press. Instead of using the thumb screw you could use a 1/4X20 yıldız knob and bolt. I think that would be easier to tighten.

A very smart and efficient design. I especially like the folding 'wings' to support long work pieces. I also built a miter saw stand but yours is definitely more functional.
